Krushna Abhishek's Saturday show going off air. Is Kapil Sharma celebrating?
It's over for Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Shruti Seth, Adaa Khan & Co as far as Comedy Nights Bachao on Saturdays is concerned. Colors has taken the decision to slot Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 9 in their 10 pm slot.

No prizes for guessing that the otherwise robust gang is feeling the blow, but as work ethics demand they'll put up a brave front and deny it.

Their
Sunday show Comedy Nights Live remains intact. But Colors has not yet decided if they would have 'Bachao' or 'Live' on Sunday.

A source says, "They might keep both as there are no plans to dismantle both- the Powai set of Bachao and the FilmCity set of 'Live'."

But the question is: How will Colors decide when to have a 'Bachao' and when to have 'Live'? It will depend on the participants, we guess. If a big star cast is coming on the platform to promote their film, they wouldn't like 'insult' comedy. If it's a one-off episode with an actor who doesn't have an agenda to be there, they might pull off a 'Bachao'.

Another source says, "It will not be a good move to keep both- 'Bachao' and 'Live'. The viewer will be terribly confused throughout the week about what he's going to eventually watch on Sunday. Even if they have ample promos providing that answer, it will be a very muddled situation. Colors should decide if they want to keep 'Bachao' going or 'Live'. Think about the star guest, why should he/she ask that which show is he/she going to attend?"

So yeah, why slot Jhalak... on Saturdays
10 pm? Well, it's simple. Colors has Anil Kapoor's 24 at 9 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. So, Jhalak... cannot displace 24. The only place where it would have given returns was the 10 pm slot at the weekend. So, there was no option but to pull off the Krushna show- either Saturday orSunday.

By the way, is it celebration time for Krushna and Colors' arch-rivals- Kapil Sharma and Sony? The recent decision by Colors also indicates that the back-to-back antics of Krushna's gang on Saturdays and Sundays was perhaps not proving to be a commercially viable proposition.
